B-day thanks

February 12, 2009

ok, I love this little turtle and when I saw him on this card at SplitCoast by Shannon…I totally had to CASE for my son’s Thank You’s for his birthday (we went with the sea theme, remember?)   She did such a great job with my favorite colors – I only modified slightly based on my supplies and the sentiment.

Please note I'm not taking credit for the design! Thanks Shannon!

7th Birthday – a belated look

February 4, 2009

Jared’s birthday actually falls on December 23rd.   Yah, poor kid blah blah blah… but he actually makes out pretty good!     We usually have a family get together and of course, he has started asking for *friend* parties.    This year, we held off until January to have his friend party.   (I’d hate to invite 15-20 kids and have only 5 show up for him if we had it right at Christmas time!).    So anyway, here are the invitations – front and back side.    His party was at a local place called Seabase Fun Center … so we went with the sea theme.

Golfabella Birthday!

January 5, 2009

I just love her!   And being an avid golfer, she is the first bella I bought and used that wasn’t from the cruise!       I think I’ll be using her a lot too!golfabella-birthday

Late Christmas picture

January 4, 2009

I promised to update more so here I am!     I have a birthday card and a Christmas photo to share with you all!      My son’s 7th birthday was December 23rd and he loves to sing and dance.   So, I found a super cute Snoopy stamp at the Hobby Lobby in Saginaw, Michigan when I was visiting my in-laws over Thanksgiving, that I thought would be perfect for his card!  It is sooo cool how this turned out – I tried to capture how I used black embossing powder on Snoopy’s leather coat and sunglasses and how the glitter sparkles on the stars but it just wouldn’t work!!   My son loved it!

snoopy-rock Supplies used:    Paper:  Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, DCWV the All Dressed Up Stack, DCWV Black Music Notes;  Memories Black Ink; Prismacolor Markers – red and Metallic Silver, Black embossing powder, Black glitter, Black Dew Drops.

Next is the picture I used on our Christmas cards this year.    Aren’t they sweet?    Jared just turned 7 and Megan is 3 1/2.

Thanks for looking – I’ll be back with another card soon!

Happy Halloween! Only a week late

November 9, 2008

Yes, I know!   Everybody gets busy and before they know it – It’s Christmas!   But back to Halloween for now and the treats I made for each of my kids classes.  I borrowed an idea from Diana Gibbs and covered Kit Kat’s!  (Thanks Diana!)  Use the full size bar and a 6×6 piece of designer paper, wrap a belly band and add a tag or scallop and wa-lah!   Really cute treats for all the kids!  And super easy.

And here are my beautiful children in their Halloween costumes.   Megan’s wig only lasted about 30 minutes…after that she went with her own blond mop!

October 28, 2008

After all that goody stuff I posted, I want to do a quick post with a picture of our wonderful team of hostesses and their spouses.    The ladies were truly awesome – and their DH’s – wow!   What nice guys!   They helped their ladies sooooo much!    Oh and I don’t want to forget about Gina’s daughter, Rina – what a sweetie (she’s on the far right)!!

I’ll post more about the projects later this week.   Some of them did NOT get finished in class due to lack of time.  (Our teachers were very ambitious for us!  I hope to get them done soon though, and post pics in groups!  I won’t include details as these were class kits.

Late birthdays

October 16, 2008

I hate when I miss birthdays.   It’s not that I miss them.    I know they are coming, I know I should make a card and get it in the mail, but I seem to never get around to making it until it’s late.    Such is the case with the following:    I used SCS SC193 (Sketch challenge) for inspiration!   Supplies:   Goofy stamp (EK Success); Cardstock:  Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black (All SU!); Inks: Versamark;  Accessories: Black embossing powder, Prismacolor markers, 1 3/8″ circle punch, SU! scallop punch.

I used the bright colors since that’s a part of Goofy’s image!  TFL!
